WeekLEE Chatter: Marketing Sub-Committee Update

Lee County is home to a thriving business community and world-class quality of life. DevelopLee’s mission is to provide a forum for business and community leaders to create opportunities that will help revitalize North Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres, and the MLK corridor.

November’s sub-committee meeting focused on helping small businesses grow. There are many businesses in each of these geographies, but sometimes they may not have the time or marketing resources to promote themselves. The task force decided to target and help locally owned restaurants. Each member of the DevelopLee initiative has been tasked with identifying restaurants in each area that might be interested in participating in a local discount card. A restaurant would offer card holders a small discount or deal at no cost to them. The benefit to the restaurant is free marketing to area residents who may be more likely to frequent their establishments with the card in hand.

Do you know a great restaurant that would like to participate in this discount card? Would a card like this encourage you to visit locally owned restaurants? Comment with your thoughts!
