Business Development Specialist
Antranette Forbes is a Business Development Specialist working to assist local business in retention and expansion. She spearheads the Annual Women’s Summit, Women’s Advisory Group, and Annual SWFL Government Contracting Symposium.
She is also responsible for the compliance management of the $25M incentive portfolio and serves as the fiscal officer for the Industrial Development Authority and Horizon Foundation—the 501c3 organization established to invest long-term economic growth into Lee County.
Prior to joining the EDO, she worked for Florida SouthWestern State College for the Office of Sponsored Programs and was responsible for the college’s $4M grant portfolio. Her most recent noted accomplishment was the award of a $1.43M federal grant from the United States Department of Labor for workforce development programs.
Mrs. Forbes has more than 16 years of leadership experience in Capital Improvement Projects, Business Development, and Alternative Finance. She is a Development Finance Certified Professional by the Council of Development Finance Agencies and has a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University.
